How this ranking works
This list is intentionally disclosure-first. Based on publicly disclosed data, we reward companies that make 2025-or-later reporting auditable, then score them across the four-dimension model rather than brand fame.
A first-wave batteries ranking that prioritizes report-grade evidence: we only include companies with a clearly labeled 2025-or-later sustainability / ESG / integrated / annual reporting package available via an auditable URL, then score them across resource efficiency, environmental impact, social responsibility, and economic benefits.
This list is intentionally disclosure-first. Based on publicly disclosed data, we reward companies that make 2025-or-later reporting auditable, then score them across the four-dimension model rather than brand fame.
We did not score companies based on battery chemistry marketing claims, energy-density headlines, or vague net-zero slogans. If a company could not be traced to a clearly labeled 2025-or-later report-year disclosure package with an auditable URL, it was excluded from first-wave leadership consideration.
Batteries sit at the center of decarbonization, but they also concentrate upstream material and manufacturing risk. The biggest differentiator in a first-wave ranking is not who tells the best story, but who publishes enough 2025-or-later evidence to audit environmental, social, and economics trade-offs without guessing.
#1
A clearly labeled 2025 ESG report published as an official direct PDF makes the evidence unusually auditable for a batteries-category first wave.
Official 2025 report-year PDF + strongest evidence auditability
#2
A dedicated Sustainability Report 2025 with direct-download PDF access supports scoring based on disclosed evidence rather than corporate sustainability hub summaries.
Dedicated 2025 sustainability report + clean PDF access
#3
Integrated Report 2025 sustainability disclosures are accessible as an official PDF and are batteries-relevant enough to support an evidence-first category score.
Report-grade integrated disclosure + batteries relevance
#4
Exchange-hosted 2025 annual reporting provides a defensible, auditable disclosure baseline even when dedicated sustainability packaging is harder to isolate.
Auditable exchange-hosted annual report + clear 2025 year label
#5
Public 2025 annual reporting is accessible as a direct PDF and meets the minimum evidence threshold for first-wave inclusion, while acknowledging that ESG depth is still constrained by annual-report structure.
Auditable 2025 annual report + disclosure-first eligibility
About us
sustainablereports.org organizes public sustainability reports, certifications, and evidence into editorial research pages. We do not accept brand sponsorships, we do not sell ranking positions, and we do not offer paid inclusion.
Only brands that have earned a place in one of our “Top 10 sustainable products/brands” rankings may display the sustainablereports badge. Brands outside those rankings may not use it.
Conclusions are not adjusted for partnerships, marketing budgets, or brand relationships. Rankings and company pages reflect only the quality of public disclosure and evidence available at the time of review.
